Southside Master Gardener Association Yard Sale - The Southside Master Gardener Association is having a Yard Sale, to be held at the Halifax Farmers Market Building in Halifax on April 2nd. It will start at 8am until 1pm. The SSMGA is asking for donations of items for the yard sale. These items can be dropped off at the Halifax Farmers Market (Old Farmers Food) starting Saturday March 26 from 10am - 2pm and again from 4pm - 8pm; also on Sunday the 27th from 1pm - 4pm. From Monday - Friday (March 28-Apr 1) before the sale someone will be at the site to accept items from 10-2pm and from 4-8pm. All money earned from this yard sale will go the Southern Virginia Botanical Gardens & Environmental Education Center. South Hill Ruritan Club Antique Machinery and Vehicle Show - The South Hill Ruritan Club will host the 2nd annual South Hill Ruritan Club Antique Machinery and Vehicle Show on April 2 and 3 at the Dixie Tobacco Warehouse Complex on Country Lane in South Hill. The event will be 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. both days. Admission is free and there will be over 200 units of farm equipment, cars, draft horses, mules, steam engines, sawmill demos, civil war displays, bouncy toys, barrel and train rides, lots of vendors with wares of all kinds, food and more. Bring your prized vehicle to show off at the car show or your tractor or farm vehicle of any kind. The 22nd annual Virginia Beef Expo - The 22nd annual Virginia Beef Expo should be an exciting and educational three-day event for the region�s beef cattle industry. The Expo will be held Friday through Sunday, April 15-17 at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds just south of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Beef Expo was organized to showcase Virginia�s beef cattle seedstock industry. with Friday and Saturday night shows beginning at 7:00 P. M. at the Robert E. Lee Auditorium on Hwy. 92 in Chase City, VA.
The profit is used to support the local community; Chase City Rescue Squad, Chase City Fire Department, Little League,
Food Pantry and others. We have some amazing local talent who volunteer their time to travel to Chase City and perform for Haw Hee.
We have music, magic, and comedy. It is a great family entertainment show for a good cause.

6th Annual Chatham Rotary Community Auction - The Chatham Rotary Club holds several events during each year to fund club donations and Rotary Service Projects in our community as well as communities around the world. Chatham Rotary�s primary fundraiser is our auction, this year being the Sixth Annual. Over $50,000 has been raised over the past five auctions, most of which has been invested in local projects that have had a positive impact on our region. The Chatham Rotary Community Auction for this year will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2011 at the Chatham Community Center beginning at 6:00 PM.
