Southside Master Gardener Association Yard Sale -

The Southside Master Gardener Association is having a Yard Sale, to be held at the Halifax Farmers Market Building in Halifax on April 2nd. It will start at 8am until 1pm.

The SSMGA is asking for donations of items for the yard sale. These items can be dropped off at the Halifax Farmers Market (Old Farmers Food) starting Saturday March 26 from 10am - 2pm and again from 4pm - 8pm; also on Sunday the 27th from 1pm - 4pm. From Monday - Friday (March 28-Apr 1) before the sale someone will be at the site to accept items from 10-2pm and from 4-8pm.

All money earned from this yard sale will go the Southern Virginia Botanical Gardens & Environmental Education Center.

The 22nd annual Virginia Beef Expo should be an exciting and educational three-day event for the region�s beef cattle industry. The Expo will be held Friday through Sunday, April 15-17 at the Rockingham County Fairgrounds just south of Harrisonburg, Virginia. The Beef Expo was organized to showcase Virginia�s beef cattle seedstock industry. The Virginia Beef Expo is the gathering place for the region�s cattle breeders, commercial producers and industry suppliers. The Expo is the largest beef-oriented event on the East Coast and draws cattle producers from Maine to Georgia to Indiana and more.

New this year: the Virginia FFA State Tractor Driving Competition
