Beef Fest 2009

South Hill Annual Chamber of Commerce Beef Festival

   Plans are continuing for the biggest and best annual Chamber of Commerce Beef Festival. The event will be held at Centennial Park again this year in downtown South Hill on May 27th, but just after the Festival you can head up the hill and enjoy an �Affair on the Square� event featuring Casper. You can come out and enjoy food, beverages, DJ Shep Moss and more from 5- 6:30 p.m. and then dance to the sound of America's Premier Dance Band from 6:30 � 9:30 on the upper field. This year Express Yourself, Inc. Inc has signed on as a sponsor and host for the bar and Rosemont Vineyards and Winery will be host and Sponsor for the wine bar.

   The Sponsorship levels include Ponderosa level at $500 and that so far includes KISS Country 101.9 & 1370 AM WSHV. Tumbleweed sponsors are at the $350 level with Prairie Sponsors in the $200 level including First Citizens Bank and Community Memorial Healthcenter, Commonwealth Exterminators and Citizens Community Bank. Sponsors that have been roped into the Corral level so far include Lisa Clary with the Mecklenburg Sun and Peebles and R. F. Anderson and Son, Curves of South Hill and Harper Jewelry and Virginia Asset Management

   All levels include some type of advertising showcase for the business including banners, posters, fliers and more depending on the sponsorship level. Booth space reservations can be made until May 14th. Many are expected to be added, so don�t miss your opportunity to get the word out about your business at the event that usually draws over 800 guests from all over the area.

   The menu includes Beef Kabobs, beef bar-b-que, chili, with Brian�s homemade Cole slaw and potato salad, baked beans and complimentary beverages. Tickets are $25 in advance thru Monday May 26th, $30 Tuesday and Wednesday May 27th so be sure to get yours early, Call or stop by the South Hill Chamber of Commerce at 447-4547 or 20l S Mecklenburg Avenue for more information and to purchase your tickets.
